Adding essential oils to my skincare routines is one of my favorite ways to use oils. In this blog post, we’ll explore five DIY skincare recipes that incorporate essential oils perfect for your next self-care day. Get ready to say hello to radiant, healthy skin!

Soothing Lavender Facial Mist

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup distilled water
  • 2 tablespoons witch hazel
  • 5 drops lavender essential oil

Instructions:

  1. In a small spray bottle, combine the distilled water and witch hazel.
  2. Add the lavender essential oil and shake well to blend.
  3. Spritz the mist onto your face after cleansing or whenever your skin needs a refreshing pick-me-up. The soothing properties of lavender will calm your skin and promote a sense of relaxation.

Nourishing Citrus Body Scrub

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup carrier oil (such as coconut or sweet almond oil)
  • 10 drops grapefruit essential oil
  • 5 drops orange essential oil

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix the granulated sugar and carrier oil until well combined.
  2. Add the grapefruit and orange essential oils and stir thoroughly.
  3. Gently massage the scrub onto damp skin in circular motions, focusing on rough areas. Rinse off and enjoy silky-smooth, revitalized skin. The invigorating citrus scent will uplift your senses.

Tea Tree Spot Treatment

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel
  • 3 drops tea tree essential oil

Instructions:

  1. Combine the aloe vera gel and tea tree essential oil in a small container.
  2. Mix well until the ingredients are blended.
  3. Apply a small amount of the spot treatment directly to blemishes or acne-prone areas before bedtime. Let it work its magic overnight, helping to calm and clarify your skin.

Hydrating Rose and Chamomile Face Mask

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons rosewater
  • 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel
  • 1 tablespoon kaolin clay
  • 2 drops rose essential oil
  • 2 drops chamomile essential oil

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix the rosewater, aloe vera gel, and kaolin clay until a smooth paste forms.
  2. Add the rose and chamomile essential oils and stir well to incorporate.

Balancing Lavender and Frankincense Facial Oil

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon jojoba oil
  • 3 drops lavender essential oil
  • 3 drops frankincense essential oil

Instructions:

  1. Combine the jojoba oil, lavender essential oil, and frankincense essential oil in a small dropper bottle.
  2. Gently shake the bottle to blend the oils.
