6 Ways to Motivate Yourself to Workout

6 Ways to Motivate Yourself to Workout 6 Ways to Motivate Yourself to Workout 6 Ways to Motivate Yourself to Workout 6 Ways to Motivate Yourself to Workout 6 Ways to Motivate Yourself to WorkoutHappy Monday ladies! I hope you all had a fab weekend. It’s that time of year again where I (and I’m sure everyone else) could use some motivation to get moving! The end of winter always drags for me because I get so anxious for Spring. I am a gardener-flower planter-outdoor-warm weather person to the core so winter starts to kill me and I lack the motivation to workout indoors. Here are the things that help me get moving, I hope they help you too!

6 Ways to Motivate Yourself to Workout

1. think about the feeling after you’re done

This is number one for me and it’s something I’ve asked my husband to remind me too. If I don’t feel like moving I just think about all those endorphins that go to work and make me feel like a million bucks.

2. look back at how far you’ve come in your progress

I started my journey of a healthier me about 4 years ago when I got engaged.  I look completely different now then I did back then so I just look at pictures from then and remind myself how far I’ve come and how much working out has changed my life.

3. talk yourself into just doing 10 min

I love this and have been doing it forever. You’ll hear this a lot because it’s true, the hardest part is starting (or if you go to a gym, it’s getting there). So I talk myself into doing 10 min of something and every time I end up doing a lot longer.

4. go to your favorite fitness bloggers for motivation

I love fitness bloggers! Here are a couple of my favorite blogs:

Fit In Progress

The Fit Brunette

5. buy new workout gear

This can sound silly but it definitely works for me, whether it be a cute new pair of leggings or a cool water bottle, getting new workout gear motivates me to workout. How cute are these matching yoga outfits from Jill Yoga? They have the cutest prints and the quality is amazing. My favorite part is obvi that E gets to match with me. The blue galaxy print is next on our shopping list!

6. set small goals

Set small attainable goals or “whys”. Mine right now is spring break vacation in April. My first one was my wedding and some other small ones I’ve had were events or reunions.

Inspiration

In Christ there is not Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave and free; but Christ is all and in all. Colossians 3:11

I would love if you shared your favorite ways to get motivated in the comments! Let’s help each other!

Thanks for reading today. You are loved!
