Bliss Fabulous Makeup Melt vs. Coconut Oil

Bliss Fabulous Makeup Melt vs. Coconut Oil
Okay, so I have just started using coconut oil (I know, where have I been?) and I absolutely love it. So we all know there are so so many uses for coconut oil but today I am comparing it to the Bliss fabulous makeup melt because they work very similarly to remove makeup.

Fabulous Makeup Melt

The Bliss makeup melt is a gel-to-oil cleanser with essential oils for “clean, balanced skin”. I like the consistency of the gel/oil, it’s not to thick or runny. The makeup melt does remove most of my makeup, although it does burn my eyes a bit. Even though this is a cleanser I also use my cleanser after because my face still feels oily after using.

Coconut Oil

The coconut oil I have is organic (which I’ve read doesn’t really matter with coconut too much), expeller pressed, and refined (which just means it’s better for high heat cooking and is tasteless/scentless). I have been using a tiny bit, rubbing it in my hands first if it’s solidified, and gently rubbing it all over my face then eyes to remove makeup. It removes all of my makeup, I use my cleanser after and my face is left clean and super soft.
I learned more about coconut oil here.

Coconut oil for the win!

So all in all, I prefer the coconut oil. It has one ingredient (vs the long list of things in the fab makeup melt), does a little better of a job, and is way less expensive. What do you think? What’s your fav makeup remover? Comment if you want to see all the uses for coconut oil!

  • Coconut oil is wonderful! Since it's a natural antibacterial, it makes a fantastic deodorant. Anyone with sensitive underarms should give it a go since it's nourishing, antibacterial, and aluminum-free. It's been an amazing discovery! That's too bad that the Bliss remover burns the eyes, but hey – coconut oil is much cheaper and easier to buy so WIN for COCONUTS! 😉
