Dry Shampoo Powder: YAY or Nay?

Ours went by really fast because we were so busy but it was really fun. What did you all do for Easter? We went to church and spent the day outside in the nice weather! So I know everyone by now has probably tried a dry shampoo, but who has tried a powder one versus the spray aerosol cans? I have had a few different ones and I have to say I like them! I like that you have more control with it. Today I’m reviewing an organic dry shampoo, so perfect for all the natural and organic beauty lovers like myself.

First of all, I just want to talk a little about the importance of dry shampoo. It’s for those days you wake up late and don’t’ have time to wash your hair or the days you just don’t feel like doing it. Side note: you shouldn’t be washing your hair every day anyway, so using a dry shampoo in between is perfect. It’s also for everyday volume and texture because dry shampoo does that too!

Okay so I was lucky enough to get to try the Green and Organics Dry Shampoo Powder in Lavender and Bergamot and I have to first say it smells fabulous. Lavender is one of my all time favorite scents. This dry shampoo is a powder and it comes in a container similar to what glitter comes in with a spin top. I also have the little brush to apply the powder which I absolutely recommend. I just sprinkle a little on the brush and dust it all over my roots. It does a great job of absorbing all of the oils and making my hair look clean again. Just don’t over do it, like with any dry shampoo, start with a little and then you can always add more. I use dry shampoo for 2 days and wash my hair every 3rd day, what’s your hair washing routine?

What’s your favorite dry shampoo? Have you used any that are organic?

I hope you have a great day!

Xx, T

  1. Lush’s dry shampoo powder is the only one of that type that I’ve tried. I honestly haven’t used it much since it’s messy. I’ll have to try it with a brush! I can’t believe I never thought about that! Batiste’s dry shampoo is my go to!
