Hi, beauties! Today I’m sharing a #momlife post. If you only come for the beauty don’t worry, we’ll get back to that on Friday. Emery is 2 years and 3 months old now and things are completely different than they were even just a few months ago. I feel like they learn so much so fast that everything you thought you knew about being a mom changes in the blink of an eye. I have a few tried and true things that help when things get a little “terrible two” crazy, some outing essentials, and random things so let’s get to it!
Everything You Need For a Toddler | Toddler Must-Haves
*GIFTED* The “transition” to a big girl bed hasn’t happened yet because she hasn’t started trying to climb out of the crib and has been sleeping good in the crib still. But when she’s sick or wants to come sleep with us the DockATot Grand is great. It’s also going to be a lifesaver when she moves to a regular sized bed when the baby comes. You can shop DockATot right here.
*GIFTED* Say hello to independence and not wanting to sit in the high chair anymore! This booster seat has been so helpful because Emery feels like she’s sitting at the table like a big girl and it’s so small and portable you can even take it to restaurants. You can shop the Bombol seat here.
We also have switched to the sippy cups with straw lids but having the Tervis has been helpful because it’s a “big girl” cup and they have cute designs like Disney characters etc. I like putting a straw in the Tervis as well because that helps with not spilling as much if it tips over.
We painted on a whole chalkboard wall in E’s room (which was really easy and affordable + it’s cute) and she loves it. She like that she can write on the wall and erase it herself. It’s been a hit, I def recommend it.
Babyganics Hand Sanitizing Wipes
I love this brand and I love that these wipes are alcohol-free. We have the mandarin scent but I think they have other options. I use these after we eat and basically for everywhere we go to sanitize carts, swings, etc. Bonus – These are on my subscribe and save so I don’t have to think about repurchasing them. We go through about 4 packs (of 20) a month.
Organic Soap + Coconut Oil
My favorite shampoo/bubble bath to use is the Baby Mantra 3-in-1 wash with lavender oil & aloe. It’s allergy tested, pure, gentle, gluten-free, cruelty-free, vegan, and EWG verified. I also use coconut oil as her moisturizer and have since she was tiny.
Subscribe & Save
This is not a sponsored post, Amazon’s subscribe and save just saves our lives every month. We have all household items and Emery’s regular items on there and you get to choose how often they come (or skip a month etc). It’s been amazing for diaper and wipes, and diaper genie refills. You can get literally everything though, like diaper cream, shampoo, coconut oil, etc.
Converse with Velcro Straps
We have had these since Emery was a baby (in different sizes obvi). They are the BEST for easy getting on and off and STAYING on. I tried so many shoes with her and these are the best. I get them a TJMaxx or eBay for the best prices. Plus they are cute enough to wear with a dress or just to wear with play clothes.
I love getting single pieces at Old Navy when they’re on sale. I’m talking leggings/shorts and tops. They always have multiple ones that you can mix and match with and it makes a super easy fast COMFY outfit. It makes it easier if most of them match too when she wants to pick out her own outfit. #independence
We’ve been slowing trying to get rid of all of her crappy toys and only getting nice/educational ones (sort of Montessori, sort of not), let me know if you want me to do a post all on toddler toys!
