Fall Wellness Tips and Goals
Hey, friend! Fall is upon us, and it’s time to cozy up in chunky sweaters, sip on pumpkin spice lattes, and embrace the beauty of changing colors. As the temperature dips and the days shorten, taking care of your well-being becomes even more crucial. Let’s talk about five fantastic wellness tips (and personal goals I have set) that will help you sail through this season with a glow in your cheeks and a skip in your step. I shared my fall wellness goals on instagram earlier this season and I’ve been doing pretty good! Let me know your goals in the comments.
1. Essential Oils
There are lots of essential oils that we use more in the fall season for various reasons. Some of the main ones are an immune boost blend, eucalyptus for congestion, cozy cinnamon and bergamot for fall vibes. Here are some ideas for fall candle scents.
2. Focus on Immune System
Fall can be a season of fluctuating weather, making us susceptible to pesky colds and sniffles. To give your immune system a boost, We’ve been taking all of these for the fam:
These can help you stay healthy and energized throughout the fall, combating seasonal ailments and ensuring you enjoy every autumn adventure to the fullest.
3. Stay Active in the Crisp Air
As the weather cools down, it might be tempting to curl up on the couch with a good book and some hot cocoa. While that’s perfectly acceptable and cozy, it’s essential to keep moving, too! Take advantage of the brisk fall air with outdoor activities like hiking, apple picking, or even a simple walk in the park. The crisp air and beautiful foliage will invigorate both your body and soul. Here are the ways I personally stay active:
- walking the dog
- walks with friends
- pilates at the ymca
- workouts on my Fiton app
- 30 min incline walk on the treadmill
4. Embrace Seasonal Produce for a Nourishing Diet
Fall brings an abundance of delicious, nutrient-rich produce like squash, pumpkins, sweet potatoes, and apples. Incorporate these seasonal fruits and vegetables into your meals for a nourishing and satisfying diet. Try making hearty soups, roasted vegetables, or warm salads to fill your belly with wholesome goodness while embracing the flavors of autumn. I remember hearing about eating seasonally and it makes so much sense on so many levels. It’s cheaper, and better for you!
5. Stay on Top of Your Disciplines
Fall is undeniably a season of coziness and relaxation. The temptation to curl up under a blanket with a cup of tea and a good book is hard to resist. However, amid the allure of coziness, it’s important to stay disciplined in taking care of yourself. Get up early even when it’s dark out, get your prayer and devotions done before the kids get up, shower, get ready for the day, stay on schedule, whatever your disciplines look like for you, stay on top of them so you don’t fall too far behind. And of course rest when you need to.
Fall is a season of change and transition, and it’s the perfect time to implement these wellness tips into your daily routine. By incorporating essential oils, supplements, staying active, embracing seasonal produce, and staying disciplined, you’ll set the stage for a vibrant and rejuvenating autumn. Here’s to a healthy and happy fall season! 🍁✨
