How to Keep Your Hair Frizz-Free When it's Humid

Hey, guys! I hope you all had a fabulous and warm weekend! Ours started early on Thursday and we went to a Jason Aldean concert with some friends and it was so fun. I’m so excited it is finally summertime here in Michigan, today we went to the lake and watched the boats come and go. It’s so fun to just be outside and enjoy the weather. With summertime comes the heat and humidity and while that can be a good thing for our skin, it can sometimes take a toll on our hair. Today I’m sharing my tips for keeping your hair smooth and frizz free when the weather is hot and humid.

How to Keep Your Hair Frizz-Free When it’s Humid

Wash & Dry Properly

Use a smoothing shampoo and conditioner, I like the black label coconut line by Renpure. The coconut oil in the shampoo helps eliminate the friction when shampooing your hair and leaves your hair looking super healthy. When drying your hair don’t rub it but just squeeze the moisture out and use a hair specifically for hair or a t-shirt.

Leave-In Conditioner

After washing, conditioning and towel drying apply a leave in conditioner. My favorite is also by Renpure and you can find it here. It makes my hair super smooth without weighing it down or leaving a residue.

Make sure to use a heat-protecting spray if you’re going to blow-dry, curl, or flat iron your hair.

Use a finishing spray to lock in your look and lock out humidity. I love this one by Macadamia because it has oils to strengthen and moisturize hair, Vitamin E to protect and protein to strengthen and add shine.

I hope you found this post helpful, do you get a lot of humid weather where you live? Share your favorite summer hair products the comments!

I’m thinking about doing an Easy Wavy Hair tutorial, let me know if you’d like that! Thanks for reading today.
