Hey, friends! How is your wellness journey going?! Mine is going well, and I’m excited to share some tips today on starting your day healthy and happy. If I’ve learned anything in my late 20’s, it’s to start each day right and with intention. Starting your day in a positive and healthy way will help you have a better day overall. Here are my tips!

How to Start Each Day Healthy and Happy

be smart about your products

Let’s talk about ingredients! There are so many products, especially beauty products, with unnecessary ingredients. Two of the main things you want to make sure your products don’t have are parabens and phthalates. I encourage you to take a look at what you’re using and find out if they contain parabens and phthalates or not; a good place to start is with things you use every day, like soaps.

Honeysuckle is also a light summery floral scent, Lemon Verbena is citrusy and uplifting. Basil is nice and fresh/gardeny and Lavender is my favorite with no surprise. I’m a lavender lover and this scent doesn’t disappoint. It’s light but still fresh and relaxing fragrance.

One of the best things is that you can grab them at Walmart during your weekly grocery trip. I’m always excited to share things with you guys that are available at Walmart because they have the best prices on everything. You can find them in the body wash aisle of the personal care section.

brush your teeth!

The first thing I have to do in the morning is brush my teeth. I just switched to an all-natural toothpaste about 3 months ago and love it. I’m looking for a good natural mouthwash so if you know of any, let me know!

take your probiotics/supplements

I’ve taken probiotics and vitamins regularly for a few years and cannot live without them. Finding out what your body needs is so important and is a big step in your wellness journey.

read a devotional

Taking time to read a daily devotional or some daily affirmations is important. Starting your day off right is all about intention, and reading is a great intentional exercise. What are your favorite devotionals?

meditate/stretch/workout

Stretching. This one is hard for me, mainly because I just forget to do it. Stretching improves my mood so much and is so beneficial. Working out is also hard because I make every excuse in the book to get out of it; one thing that helps me is reminding myself how amazing I feel after a workout.
