Hello, everyone! I hope you’re having a good week! I have been super busy over here and have some really good and exciting things coming up to share with you all. Today I’m talking about something that I’ve been super obsessed with since I’ve been in my “mid” twenties, eye cream. I started using eye creams and aging preventative products about 2 years ago because I thought, better sooner than later right? Well turns out eye creams are amazing and not just for people who have wrinkles or even just for preventing them. Eye creams soothe, hydrate, plump, and prepare your under eye area for makeup! The under eye area is super delicate so you need to take extra care.

The Importance of Eye Cream

  • Hydrate the delicate area under your eyes
  • Reduce appearance of fine lines & wrinkles
  • Eye creams are different than your facial moisturizer in that they are formulated for your thin delicate skin, not like the skin on the rest of your face
  • Preps your under eye area for makeup
  • Brightens skin

Silk Therapeutics is a clinical grade skincare company focusing on silk technology. All of their products have high concentrations of liquid silk, and silk is the foundational ingredient in every product. They use their patented liquid silk because it smooths the skin, has anti-aging properties, AND also takes the place of synthetic fillers like parabens, GENIUS.

The eye cream from Silk Therapeutics that I have been using is the Eye Renewal from their new LabGrab line which is their limited edition/small batch line which launches on March 9. I love this eye cream because it has caffeine, a must have in my eye creams because it reduces dark circles and puffiness, and rosehip oil which is an antioxidant and soothes my skin. My skin is left extremely soft and fine lines are smoothed away after using this. It is a highly concentrated formula so you have to use a very thin layer, but I am super impressed with it so far! The LabGrab line is cool because you can see the formulation and who it was invented by on the packaging, although they are limited edition products. You can shop and learn more about them HERE and again the LabGrab line goes live tomorrow, the 9th, so make sure you check them out!

    Pro Tips

    • Use excess eye cream on your lips and cuticles
    • Don’t over do it with eye cream, a little goes a long way
    • Keep your eye cream in the fridge for extra de-puffing
