There are so many things that can affect and harm your face throughout the day such as pollution, UV rays, dirt, oil, germs, etc. This is why it is so important to have a nightly skincare routine! We need to scrub away the day and replenish our skin of what it needs. I have a list of a pretty general routine, it’s all about finding the right products and steps for your skin.
Use a gentle makeup remover and an oil-based remover for any waterproof makeup.
Use a cleanser on your face and neck, using a facial sonic or spin brush will help get a deeper clean.
Use a scrub on your lips to exfoliate.
This step is optional, it can be a bit too much for sensitive skin. Apply an everyday toner to face to exfoliate, try to opt for alcohol-free toners if you do have sensitive skin.
Apply any serums to face and neck, look for one’s with vitamins & antioxidants for aging prevention, look for one’s with collagen, retinol or peptides for anti-aging/mature skin.
Apply moisturizer to face and neck. The dryness of your skin and your age determines the type of moisturizer you should use, not all are created equal! Don’t forget to use a lip moisturizer as well.
Use a gentle scrub once or twice a week to exfoliate.
