Sheet Masking | Seoul Mamas Review
Hi, guys! I hope you had a fun weekend full of family and food! I’m still eating leftovers and thinking about how many calories I need to burn. It’s crazy how fast the time goes especially around the holidays, it’ll be 2017 before we know it! So, today I want to first kind of go over sheet masks in case some of you aren’t familiar with them, and then share my review and thoughts on a lovely brand, Seoul Mamas.

What’s a Sheet Mask?

A sheet mask is exactly what it sounds like, it’s a face shaped sheet with holes for eyes, nose, and mouth. They are soaked in skin loving goodies that you lay over your face and leave on for usually 10-20 minutes. Sheet masks originate from South Korea but have been becoming very popular here in America. They are soaked in vitamins, serums, moisturizers, etc and by laying the mask over your skin you’re really letting the ingredients penetrate the skin. Using a sheet mask to me is a little bit of luxury or like getting a facial at home.

About Seoul Mamas

The creator of Seoul Mamas and 3 of her 4 children were adopted from Korea. During her trips back to Korea to adopt her children she was inspired by the beauty and Korean skincare products to start her own sheet mask company. “This is how Seoul Mamas created…a return to the country where I was born, where my children were adopted, this ultimately led me to see beauty differently.” I just love the story, you can read it here.

How I Use Sheet Masks

Generally, the masks are soaked and dripping with the serum (and although you’re not really supposed to) I like to take just a bit of the serum off before placing it on my face just because I don’t like that heavy, dripping feeling. After I pop it on I like to lay on the couch and just relax. Then, after about 15 minutes I take the mask off and pat the remaining serums into my skin. I use masks like these once or twice a week.

Seoul Mamas Sheet Masks

I love the Seoul Mamas masks. The actual mask itself is made of bamboo and it is super soft and fits well. The serum has caviar extract which has antioxidant properties, hyaluronic acid for moisture, apple and wild cherry extract for more antioxidant goodness and brightening, and chamomile to even skin tone. My face was left super hydrated and refreshed after using the mask, it’s truly like an at home facial.

Giveaway!

I’ve teamed up with Seoul Mamas to give away a box of 5 of their masks so make sure you go to Instagram to enter to win!
