This post is sponsored by BabbleBoxx.

Today I’m sharing some Spring Self Care tips. I feel like everything and everyone needs a spring refresh, am I right? Today I’m sharing self care and in the next couple of weeks I’ll be sharing some home spring cleaning tips as well! Happy Spring!

Let’s start from the top and work our way down shall we?

Spring Self Care

Glow Up

You’ll hear me say this 1 million times but you should be taking your skin care seriously. Now is a good time to add in hyaluronic acid serum if you aren’t already, it’s one of the skin care ingredients that I cannot live without. Hyaluronic acid plumps, hydrates, restores your skin of moisture, and reduces appearance of wrinkles. The Vichy LiftActiv Supreme H.A. Wrinkle Corrector serum is a great one to start with because it has 1.5% pure hyaluronic acid, Vitamin C, and Vichy Volcanic Water. It’s also formulated without parabens, fragrance, mineral oil, silicone, or artificial colorants. In a clinical study, after six weeks 53 women saw a 47% visible wrinkle reduction and a 60% decrease in fine lines in 6 weeks.

Who else shaves about 1 time a week during the winter? I just have no need to shave every day like I do in the summer months! Now that it’s spring I like to up my game in the hair removal department. I’ve used oils to shave with for years because it gets a super close shave and leaves my skin incredibly soft, I don’t even have to use lotion after I get out of the shower. These Tree Hut Moisturizing Shave Oils are so nice to have on hand! They’re formulated without parabens or phthalates.

Our feet can all use some help when spring rolls around. All winter I kind of just do minimal maintenance so then when spring comes around I have a lot to do. In a perfect world I would go get a pedicure once a month but we have two kids so that’s not always possible. My heels and dryness is where I like to start, I just use a pumice stone in the shower and follow up with some moisture. I am so impressed with Kerasal! It’s a new brand to me and I was blown away how fast the Intensive Foot Repair worked for both my husband and myself. It’s a salve you can apply to your feet that exfoliates with salicylic acid and moisturizes + it works in one day! Pro Tip: cover your feet in salve then wear cotton socks overnight. They also have a nail formula, Multipurpose Nail Repair, that can be used for lots of nail issues like fungus, psoriasis, gel manicure damage, and aging nails. I just recently started getting gel nails again so I will definitely be using this one shortly if I get the dreaded gel manicure damage.

Next in line is getting some new polish! We’ve used halo nail polishes for about two years now since we started buying cleaner, more non-toxic products. Halo is 10-free which means they don’t contain the ten most common and harsh chemicals found in your nail polish including: Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Camphor, Xylene, Ethyl Tosylamide, Parabens, Acetone, Triphenyl Phosphate (TPHP) and Fragrance.

You can’t spend all that time making your feet look good and not get any new shoes right? For as long as I can remember I wanted a pair of REEF sandals but I have never gotten them. This is my first pair and I love them so much. They are super bright, fun, light, and so comfy. The design is inspired by Japanese Kabuki sandals, and they come in 2 colors, this yellow and a coral.

Read Up

I just got this new book and it is so fun. It’s called A Year of Weeks from Running Press and it has ideas for new things to try each week. For example one week is ideas and how to be more mindful, there’s also a week of designing home decor, and a week of breathing and relaxation practice. I can’t wait to put some of these to work and start being more creative each week.
