Strobing Made Simple

Strobing Made Simple
So after hearing about strobing for the first time a month or two ago I was like, “wait that’s a thing? I do that all the time!” So after the debate on whether or not to do a post on it because it’s already everywhere I decided to just do it!

What is strobing

Strobing is really just highlighting.  So it’s basically for highlighter obsessed people like myself, which is why I loveeee it. I find myself doing this on days I just want to look like I am glowing from within.
If you want a whole highlight and contouring post click here.

Strobing is super simple, especially if you’ve already been practicing contouring. You basically want to highlight every area on your face that you want to bring forward, which are the areas near the center. The diagram above shows where to put your highlighter, you can do less or more if you would like though! It’s all about finding what you love on yourself.

Click here for a post all about highlighters to see my favorite products to achieve this look!

What are your favorite highlighters?

I prefer a small stipple brush for a light highlight because stipple brushes give a sheer coverage and can be used for multiple products, not just highlighter. I like using it for BB creams as well. There are also small tapered brushes for highlighting as well. I also wrote a post just on highlighting, here. […]
