Hey, guys! I haven’t done a makeup look or even just a makeup post in so long mostly because I’m always sharing my favorites in general. So today I wanted to do a Summer Bronze Look | Day to Night so I can show how I get my super easy natural summer day look then bring it to a night or going out summer look. Spoiler alert: there’s going to be a lot of bronzing and highlighting going on.
For my summer day foundation, I wear my Complexion Rescue and don’t usually use a primer with it. It’s just really hydrating and glowy so I don’t usually need one. The only other thing I put on my face is my highlighter, I have a ton of faves so I’ll link them below. Then I do my brows and lately, I’ve been using Benefit’s Precisely My Brow pencil and then Gimme Brow over that. For my eyes, I don’t wear any shadows typically unless I use my bronzer and highlighter so the only thing I’m using is my mascara. I’ve been really impressed with a few mascaras this summer so I’ll link them below in the shop section. Lastly, for lips I’ve been wearing my Clarins Lip Oils *they are so good* I have the mint and honey ones.
To take my look into the night I like touching up my face with concealer then powder foundation, usually the Wander beauty one. Then, I go in with bronzer and more highlighter. For my eyes, I love using my bronzer and highlighters but I also like using bronzy shadows too, the Clarins summer palette is perfect because it has all the shades you need but still small and compact. I don’t always wear liner but if I do I like liquid liner and a small little wing. If my mascara still looks good I usually leave it, if it looks bad I remove it before I start touching up my makeup and just reapply. I like making my brows a little bolder so I touch them up with the same products, sometimes I reapply them with a pomade/gel instead for a more dramatic look. For taking my lips into the night I use a matte lipstick. There are so many great ones right now but I love Tarte’s formula. Before applying matte lipstick I always use a scrub so my lips are smooth first.
