Top 5 Mascaras

Top 5 Mascaras

If I could only pick one thing to wear out of my makeup collection it would be mascara. It is the one small thing that makes a huge impact. I have tried out so many mascaras and found the good, bad, and the ugly. I wanted to share my current top 5 favorites.

CK One Volumizing
My favorite part about this one is the brush. It’s a big volumizing hourglass shaped brush. I love how it gets the corners so well and does not ever clump. I am a huge fan of all CK One packaging. This one is $18 and is an Ulta exclusive, you can find it here.

Stila Huge Extreme Lash
This also has an hourglass shaped brush but it is longer and skinnier. This also grabs lashes in the corner and does a great job of lengthening and volumizing. This one can get clumped up if you aren’t careful. I recommend completely cleaning the brush off every 3-5 uses. This one is $23 you can shop it here.

Urban Decay Perversion
This has been my favorite mascara for so long. It has a pretty standard issue mascara wand, not too big, not too small, and not a crazy shape. The formula is what wows me, it lengthens and volumizes at the same time. It also never clumps and doesn’t dry too fast so you can get a good second or third coat. This formula/wand duo gives you great control, it’s super easy to apply. UD Perversion is $22 and you can find it here.

Clinique Lash Power
I have to say I am surprised a Clinique mascara made it to the list. I am a dedicated user of Clinique skincare, but their mascaras have never impressed me until now. I love how small the brush is because it gets super close to the lash line and grabs all of your lashes. It is definitely a lengthening mascara and not a volumizing one, so it’s good for days you just want the length. I love that all Clinique mascaras are all Ophthalmologist tested for those of you with sensitive eyes. You can find this one here, it’s only $16.50.

Lancome Grandiose
The first time I used this mascara I was skeptical and confused. The wand is curved and the brush is that plastic-y weird type (that I stray away from). It took a minute to get used to why and how the wand is curved but it works so well! I also love the brush, It’s hard to see in the picture but it has bristles of different lengths that grab so many lashes. This holds my curl so well and you only need one coat! I also love the bottle, how gorg?! Ulta now has Lancome mascaras, you can find it here for $32 (the higher end of what I would spend on mascara).

I’m thinking of doing a drugstore brand version of this post because this one and this one are currently on my wishlist, what do you think?

What are your favorite mascaras?
