What I Eat in a Day – High Protein Low Calorie
What I Eat in a Day – High Protein Low Calorie
I’ve been following a high-protein, low-calorie eating plan for the past few months with a daily target of 1400 calories or less and 100 grams of protein. My focus is on nourishing whole foods, supporting digestion, reducing inflammation, and staying consistent with meals that make me feel strong and satisfied.
Whether you’re looking for healthy high-protein meal ideas or just curious about what a balanced day of eating looks like on a lower-calorie plan, here’s a peek into what I typically eat in a day. Here is What I Eat in a Day – High Protein Low Calorie.
Morning Routine: Collagen + Protein-Packed Breakfast
My mornings always start with coffee – but not just any coffee. I blend mine with collagen peptides and homemade almond milk (literally just almonds and water, no fillers or oils). It’s creamy, comforting, and supports my hair, skin, joints, and gut.
Breakfast:
Greek Yogurt Bowl
I use plain, full-fat or low-fat Greek yogurt depending on the day. I stir in:1 scoop of collagen peptides
A handful of fresh blueberries
Optional: chia seeds or cinnamon for extra fiber and flavor
This combo keeps me full for hours and hits 20–25g of protein easily.
Lunch Options: Easy, Protein-Focused & Refreshing
Lunchtime is either quick and refreshing or creamy and crunchy, depending on my mood and what I prepped.
Option 1: Smoothie Bowl
Blended with:
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 scoop collagen
1 cup frozen fruit (usually mango, pineapple, or mixed berries)
¾ cup coconut water
I top it with a sprinkle of seeds, a few coconut flakes, or a spoonful of nut butter if it fits my macros that day.
Option 2: Chicken Salad Bowl
This is one of my favorite quick-prep meals.
1 can canned chicken
2 tbsp cottage cheese
2 tbsp Greek yogurt
Diced veggies like cucumber, celery, or bell pepper
Served over greens or in a lettuce wrap for crunch.
Both lunch options pack around 25–35g of protein and keep my energy steady through the afternoon.
Dinner: Blackstone Grilled Protein + Veggies
My favorite way to make dinner right now is on our Blackstone grill. It’s fast, fun, and perfect for keeping things flavorful without needing lots of oil or sauces.
Typical Dinner Combos:
Grilled Chicken + Asparagus
Ground Beef (85% lean) + Zucchini + Mushrooms
Steak Strips + Bell Peppers + Onions
Everything is seasoned with simple herbs, sea salt, and pepper. Sometimes I add coconut aminos or a drizzle of tahini depending on the meal.
Dinner usually brings in 30–40g of protein and leaves me feeling satisfied, not stuffed.
Snacks: Whole Foods or Protein Boosters
If I need a snack during the day, I keep it clean and protein-focused.
My Go-To Snacks:
Protein Bars (I rotate between a few clean-label brands depending on ingredients and sugar content)
Hard-boiled eggs
Almonds or Pumpkin Seeds (in small portions)
Berries with Greek yogurt if I’m craving something sweet
I try to keep snacks around 150–200 calories and at least 10g of protein.
Final Thoughts
Eating this way helps me stay on track with my health goals without feeling deprived. It’s simple, repeatable, and built around whole foods and clean protein sources. The key is planning ahead, making meals you love, and choosing quality ingredients that make your body feel good.
If you’re working toward a similar goal — whether it’s fat loss, muscle gain, or just feeling better in your body — focusing on protein and whole foods is a game-changer.
