Why I Chose to Become an Aromatherapist

Aromatherapy is an alternative medicine practice that involves using essential oils and other aromatic plant extracts to improve physical, mental and emotional health. Aromatherapists are practitioners who specialize in using essential oils to promote well-being and healing. There are many reasons why someone may choose to become an aromatherapist, and in this blog post, I’ll share why I’ve decided to become a Certified Aromatherapist.

  1. I LOVE Natural Remedies

One reason why I want to become an aromatherapist is that we LOVE natural remedies. I always look for a natural remedy first, then go for the over counter products if needed. I’m not against western medicine but I always look for natural remedies first because I’ve seen them work firsthand. Essential oils are a big part of our natural remedies and I can’t wait to learn more about properly/safely using them.

  1. I Want to Help Others

Many people become aromatherapists because they have a strong desire to help others. Aromatherapy can be used to alleviate a wide range of physical and emotional symptoms, from headaches and muscle pain to anxiety and depression. Aromatherapists work with clients to identify their specific needs and create customized treatment plans that can help to improve their overall well-being. There are lots of possibilities after I’m certified and helping people is one of my top goals.

  1. Flexibility and Creativity

Another reason I want to become an aromatherapist is the flexibility and creativity that the profession offers. Aromatherapists can work in a variety of settings, including spas, wellness centers, and hospitals, and can also choose to work independently. They have the freedom to create their own treatment plans and to use their creativity to develop new blends of essential oils that can address specific health concerns.

  1. Personal Experiences with Aromatherapy

We have been into using oils for over 4 years now and it’s changed so much about the way we live. We have used oils for so many different reasons and health concerns and seeing them work on me and my family is so encouraging. Besides our family, I’ve witnessed the benefits of aromatherapy in friends and so many people all over the world.

  1. Growing Demand for Alternative Medicine

Finally, the growing demand for alternative medicine is another reason why I want to become an aromatherapist. As more people become interested in natural remedies and holistic health practices, the demand for aromatherapy services is on the rise. There is SO much information online about essential oils so I want to be as educated as possible to help people correctly.
