Why You Should Be Using a Facial Scrub
Exfoliation is super important and I’ve written more about the different ways to exfoliate here. Using a scrub is definitely an important part of my skincare routine. I use a scrub about twice a week and I always notice a huge difference in the way my skin looks and feels. Exfoliating with a facial scrub clears away all of the dead skin cells and reveals smooth and fresh skin. It is also important to know that you need to exfoliate no matter what your skin type is, there are ways for all types!
SimySkin
I love SimySkin because they target different age groups with their skincare. This is awesome because your skin absolutely changes with age, and so should your skin care products. They use vitamin B12 which renews skin and prevents aging like wrinkles and dehydration. SimySkin uses scientists to formulate and test their products and ingredients, which I think is awesome and you can read more about that here.
Ultra Fine Scrub
I’ve used SimySkin for a long time and one of my favorite products is the ultra fine scrub. I have semi-sensitive skin, so some facial scrubs are out of the question for me. This scrub, though, is perfect for sensitive skin. It has jojoba beads for exfoliation (aka the scruby part) that are super gentle and I love that the formula is creamy because it feels luxurious. My skin is really soft and bright after using it and it doesn’t feel dry or look red/irritated afterward. The scrub has a blend of 7 different oils so that’s why it leaves your skin super soft and hydrated, it also has pomegranate extract which is an antioxidant and a must have in my skincare routine. You can check out the scrub yourself here.
My Routine
I like to use this scrub in the morning about 2-3 times a week. So on the days that I use it I first cleanse my skin, then use the scrub. After rinsing it off and drying my face I use my vitamin C serum and then a moisturizer. After exfoliating is a good time to use a serum because your skin is fresh. Moisturizing after exfoliating is also important to restore the moisture to your new and radiant skin!
What are your favorite ways to exfoliate? What are your favorite scrubs for sensitive skin?
Have a fab day!
